Job description

The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Program Manager to support Corporate Operations out of our office in San Antonio, Texas.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages various DoD and other Federal projects within assigned areas of operations to ensure appropriate management controls, for planning, directing program execution and for monitoring, and reporting progress and issues.
  • Manages all Contracts/Task Orders within assigned area of operations to ensure appropriate management controls, for planning, directing program execution and for monitoring, and reporting progress and issues.
  • Review and track funding levels on all projects, develop and manage on-going project status and estimate-to-completion reports, manage, track and report labor hours and costs for active projects.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of monthly invoices.
  • Work with the Business Development unit to identify and qualify new business leads and opportunities.
  • Assist Business Development in gathering and vetting information as required.
  • Participate in proposal development and reviews.
  • Review and assist the Finance Department with accounts receivable issues.
  • Staffing and personnel management oversees the acquisition and employment of program resources; create personnel requisitions, conduct job interviews, coordinate on boarding with the customer and corporate departments.
  • Problem identification and risk management: provide early and continuous process to identify problems, utilize lessons learned to minimize problem reoccurrence, and to provide follow-up to insure problem resolution.
  • Prepares and compiles monthly status reports ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review contracts and contract modifications for accuracy.
  • Respond to questions/concerns of the client in relation to performance and labor.
  • Participates in special projects and various other duties as required.
  • Develop and foster relationships with employees, corporate staff, customers and potential customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to manage and ensure the successful completion of multiple technical tasks.
  • Effective supervisory skills; and ability to clarify team purposes and goals, build team commitment and strengthen collective skills and work approaches; and ability to analyze and ensure that effective and accurate procedures are in place.
  • Proven ability to quickly assess challenges, identify solutions, and bring immediate value to projects, leveraging both business and technical acumen.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, collaboration, and cross-functional coordination to achieve strategic goals across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in project management with the ability to scope, plan, and manage initiatives from inception through execution, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with long-term objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, developers, and subject matter experts, fostering collaboration and driving shared understanding.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook & SharePoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage numerous simultaneous activities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and excellent organizational skills.
  • Will be required to travel 25%.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in managing Government contracts in support of DoD Healthcare and IT Support areas

REQUIREMED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management or related field plus four (4) years of experience in project and program management, or an appropriate combination of education and experience in project & program management functions.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

Must currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance.
