Position Overview

The Program Manager plays a vital role in connecting and elevating the Cornerstone League community through member programs that inspire engagement, learning, and leadership. Reporting to the Vice President, Education & Events, this role oversees the associations key engagement programs: Young Professionals, Sister Society, Chapters, Councils, Awards, and Collaboration and works closely with internal partners to ensure each program delivers meaningful impact for members and aligns with Cornerstones strategic goals.


This position is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about bringing people together around a shared mission.

What Youll Do


Program Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Cornerstone Leagues Young Professionals, Sister Society, Chapters, Councils, Collaboration, and Awards programs.
  • Develop annual program goals, budgets, and timelines that support the Leagues education and engagement strategy.
  • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance member value and participation.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with internal departments: Marketing & Communications, Membership, Advocacy, and Experience to ensure program success and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate liaisons for volunteer committees, leaders, and program participants.
  • Collaborate on marketing plans and communications that elevate program visibility and drive engagement.

Volunteer & Member Engagement

  • Support volunteer leaders through guidance, tools, and consistent communication.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with members and program participants to strengthen community ties and encourage involvement.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference sessions, and events tied to program initiatives.

Awards & Recognition

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to manage the annual awards process including nominations, selection coordination, and recognition activities.
  • Integrate award presentations and program highlights into key Cornerstone League events.

Reporting & Operations

  • Track program metrics, prepare progress reports, and provide insights to the Vice President, Education & Events.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold operational excellence across all program areas.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in business, communications, education, or a related field.
  • 35 years of program or event management experience, ideally within an association, nonprofit, or member-based organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Project management certification must be obtained within the first year of employment unless already held at the time of hire.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative approach with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or association management systems preferred.
