Job Title: Production Associate
Reports To: Production First Operator / Supervisor
Location: Niles
Department: Production
Employees Supervised: None
Primary Duties:
Production Associates perform a variety of tasks (value-add operations) within work cells to create side, rear, front, and roof window glass for customers in the automotive original equipment and aftermarket replacement industry. Associates prepare and load the glass into an automated assembly process along with other hardware. The parts are unloaded and excess materials are removed. Other appliques or hardware are added and the parts are inspected and prepared for shipment Team members are responsible for producing various products in accordance with all work instructions, quality and safety expectations.
  • Team members must work on a production line with consistent speed and accuracy. Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Team members must adhere to standard work (SOP) to ensure production outputs are met while observing high standards for safety and quality. Must follow all written (English) and verbal instructions.
  • Team members must be reliable and punctual, maintaining regular attendance including working 8-12 hours per day and occasional weekends.
  • Team members must be able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, use tools and equipment safely and properly, and lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Team members have the responsibility to identify, record and communicate the process. SPC data collection as required.
  • They have the authority to initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problems through designated channels.
  • Team Members are responsible for adhering to associated training requirements.
  • Team members must ensure that produced parts meet customer specifications and must pack finished product according to customer requirements.
  • Team members must adhere to housekeeping standards. They may be required to assist in training of others.

Physical Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the associate regularly works around moving equipment and parts. The associate occasionally works around industrial chemicals.
