Job description

Seasonal (SEAS) Position

Barnstable Recreation is looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, great leadership qualities and people skills to assist in the running of our seven week Summer Leisure Program which runs from June 29 to August 14, 2026. Staff hours are 7:45 AM-4:45 PM, with one day a week starting at 7:30 AM. Must be available for Parent Orientation on June 13th, 2026 and Staff Orientation on June 23-26th, 2026.

Job Description:

Assists in performing routine and complex administrative work in planning, organizing and coordinating a Summer Leisure Program for children 6-13 years old. Has responsibilities in supervising a large staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be attending college or a college graduate; Considerable knowledge of summer programming and at least 2 years of summer program experience or camp experience; First Aid/ CPR certified and a valid driver's license.

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively, maintain good working relationships with everyone and have enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience and flexibility.

$17.00 hourly, no benefits
