Description
JCCGCI's Internship Placement Services (IPS) Program provides mandated internships for public assistance recipients in college or vocational training. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and office support for the Internship Placement Services program director and facility staff at five NYC sites (Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island).
The position includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and execution of IPS program activities including:
    • Compile and prepare bi-weekly and monthly reports for field monitors and case managers
    • Assist with meetings, taking minutes and directing incoming inquiries to appropriate IPS staff
    • Developing and distributing program materials
    • Update IPS team calendar to reflect workshops, staff vacations, trainings, etc.
  • Assist with developing internship placements with NYC's nonprofit organizations.
  • As needed, assist with new start activities, assigning interns in internships and new start closeout (participant change of status', rescheduling, failure to reports, failure to comply) in accordance with HRA and JCCGCI procedures.
  • Update and submit request for intern schedule changes
  • Liaise between Senior Case Managers, Case Managers and Field Monitors in tracking performance evaluations, and statistical narrative reports upon request.
  • Travel between sites (Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and
    Staten Island) to support during new start, as needed.
  • Assist with developing a program manual and centralized data reporting template for all staff.
  • Provide data entry and timekeeping support as needed.
  • Represent JCCGCI at approved meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social services or related field or 3+ years' experience in social services or the human services field in case management, or constituent services.
  • Highly organized and great time management skills. Solutions oriented.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, and other standard applications.
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy. Able to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Available to travel 25% of the time.

Pay: $27.00 -$ 30.00 per hour
On-Site and Full-Time, 35 hours per week
