Position Overview

This role will support the delivery of Conservation and Energy Management programs by coordinating, planning, implementation, and marketing activities while managing tracking, reporting, and documentation. It will oversee application processes, payments, and stakeholder communication, while leveraging knowledge of the natural gas/electricity energy industry and Demand Side Management principles to support program effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the administration, planning, implementation, and marketing of departmental programs into the marketplace. Activities may include but are not limited to program summaries, generating and updating reports, coordinating and reviewing marketing assets, program schedule tracking, layout of program process maps, supporting program budgeting and development, and production of other documentation as required.
  • Coordinate and administer program application approval and tracking using the approved tracking software/database and manage payments with internal and external service providers. Address customer complaints and issues in context of program terms and conditions.
  • Review, validate and code invoices, process payments, purchase orders and vendors. Provide internal/external stakeholder documentation.
  • Prepare program and creative briefs for internal groups.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with team members, and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and/or attend promotional activities in support of departmental programs.
  • Ensure up to date program information is available to internal parties in electronic and/or hard copy format; maintain program files in hard and soft copy formats.
  • Maintain program content and materials, including inventory and dissemination of program material, and the production of customer and other newsletters.
  • Assist in the production of reports, or in the provision of responses to information requests.
  • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties which do not affect the rating of the job.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of a Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of recent and directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of natural gas/energy industry.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Demand Side Management.
  • General knowledge of appliance technology and gas applications.
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently.  
  • Sound analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure in the midst of time sensitive, diverse projects in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Courteous, professional manner in dealing with internal and external contacts and customers, including positive interpersonal skills and the ability to provide direction in a team environment.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of the MS Office suite applications including:
    • Excel
    • Word
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
