Join Our Client as a Bilingual Dynamic Client Services Program Assistant - Make a Difference Every Day!
Are you passionate about helping others and providing outstanding customer service? Our client, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to empowering diverse communities through workforce development, is seeking a highly motivated and personable Program Assistant. This pivotal role offers the chance to serve as the welcoming face of the organization, ensuring every visitor or caller receives exceptional support and guidance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a knack for problem-solving, this is the opportunity for you to contribute to meaningful community impact.
This position requires being onsite five days a week at our client's downtown Boston location, starting as soon as possible, with potential for temp-to-hire. The role includes working Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate is ready to join a collaborative team and be the first point of contact for all visitors and callers.
Compensation: $23-25 per hour, approximately $47-50K annually

What You Will Do:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and guiding visitors-whether in-person or remote-with professionalism and warmth.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of all program offerings to effectively assess needs and refer individuals to the appropriate services.
  • Welcome guests with courtesy and respect, notifying the appropriate team members of their arrival.
  • Manage phone triage, answering and directing calls with clarity and efficiency.
  • Handle administrative tasks including data entry, photocopying, faxing, and responding to email inquiries.
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized reception area that reflects the organization's commitment to excellence.
  • Support team members by assisting with various administrative duties as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by building relationships with clients, colleagues, and community members.
Required Skills:
  • 2-3 years of customer service and front-desk experience demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole are preferred to better serve our diverse clientele.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, including those facing barriers to employment or language challenges.
  • Proven moral integrity and sound judgment, especially when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • High school diploma or GED, along with at least two years of related experience.
