Position Summary

Basic Function
Assistant to Head Coach in all aspects of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference DivisionIIIsports program


Duties and Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head coach in day to day operations of the team and program
  • Assist in practice planning
  • Assist in positional instruction as defined by the head coach
  • Evaluate post practice and game situations
  • Assist in recruiting
  • Coordinate team travel with head coach supervision
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • A majority of coaching duties will be teaching their respective sport to students. This coaching is expected to be in person.


Minimum Qualifications
Coaching experience of at least 3 years required.
Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
Collegiate playing or previous collegiate or high school coaching experience of at least five years
required. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the desire to work in a
DivisionIIIenvironment.
Master's degree preferred.
