Program Assistant

Job Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Assistant for the Center for Educational Innovation and Quality (CEIQ) within the School of Nursing. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and program support for the Assistant Dean and Director of CEIQ. Responsibilities include coordinating administrative, fiscal, contractual, and regulatory aspects of the center, prioritizing essential duties, and providing resolutions when applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and program support for the Assistant Dean and Director of CEIQ.
  • Coordinate administrative, fiscal, contractual, and regulatory functions within the center.
  • Prioritize essential duties and responsibilities and provide resolutions where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience as an administrative assistant, program planning, program support, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, including database design and query skills, Word, PowerPoint, Windows, common email programs, and browsers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Equivalents in education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

  • Master’s degree.
