Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team!
Position Highlights
Begin your healthcare career with Hendricks Community Hospital, no experience necessary! We offer Certified Nursing Assistant classes to assist you with getting your certification with no cost to you.
Our Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for providing the highest quality care for our long term care residents. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Hendricks Community Hospital team. The Hendricks Community Hospital is an independent healthcare facility located in a friendly small town setting.
Weekend and shift differentials available. Weekend and Holiday Rotations Required
Starting hourly wage is $22.50 an hour. Rate is based upon experience.
Night Shift hours are 6pm to 6:30am
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare facility preferred but willing to train.
  • Genuine interest in geriatrics.
  • Able to provide quality resident care following each individual care plan.
  • General duties to include providing residents with assistance as needed with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, mobility, any other aspect of ADL's (activities of daily living), and attending to physical, emotional, psychosocial well-being according to each resident's need.
  • Communicates and relates in a positive manner with residents while interacting with them and responds appropriately to resident behaviors.
  • Able to adhere to team concept and work together with co-workers for the benefit of the residents and the facility.
  • Knows safety and emergency procedures pertaining to long-term care facility.
  • Practice infection control procedures.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and maintain emotional stability under stressful conditions.
  • Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Job involves moderate to heavy physical work. Frequent standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting weight in excess of 25 pounds.
