Nursing Assistant II Intermediate Care IMC Full-Time Nights

Position Summary

The Nursing Assistant II provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role supports patients with daily care activities, monitors vital signs, and helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and the healthcare team to support patient recovery and deliver compassionate care to patients and their families.


What You'll Do

As a Nursing Assistant I, you will assist patients with daily care needs and help maintain a safe, comfortable healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination

  • Monitor and record vital signs

  • Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges

  • Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment

  • Communicate patient concerns to nurses and healthcare staff

  • Participate in patient rounding and shift handoff reports

  • Respond to patient call lights and requests

  • Transport equipment, supplies, blood products, and medications (excluding controlled substances)

QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Training

One of the following is required:

  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – State of Florida

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or Medical Corpsman

  • Internationally licensed medical personnel

Certification
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification

Experience
  • One year of healthcare experience within the past five years in a relevant healthcare setting

Experience may not be required for graduates of approved training programs.
