Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Acquisition Program Analyst to support procurement and contract management activities for a critical government program. This role involves managing both pre-award and post-award acquisition functions, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, and providing expert guidance to program leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acquisition professional to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring up to 20% CONUS travel. As a Nexagen employee supporting a government contract, you must remain flexible, as work location requirements are subject to change at any time based on government regulations and policy updates. Compliance with these changes is essential to maintaining your role.
โ€ข Estimate costs and develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
โ€ข Collaborate with acquisition centers to establish procurement timelines and key milestones
โ€ข Develop acquisition requirements packages and refine performance work statements (PWS)
โ€ข Conduct market research to support procurement planning and decision-making
โ€ข Oversee contract reporting requirements ensuring accuracy and compliance
โ€ข Provide advisory support to program leadership on acquisition strategies and contracting policies
โ€ข Ensure effective execution of contract objectives in support of program success
Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
โ€ข 12+ years of experience in procurement, acquisitions, or government contracting
โ€ข Strong knowledge of contract types, DFARS, and federal acquisition processes
โ€ข 8-10 years of experience supporting DoD program offices or defense acquisition programs
โ€ข Experience developing acquisition requirements packages for government contracts
