Student Work Experience Program Participant
Work Mode: Onsite
Location:Onsite - Kohler, WI
Opportunity
Eligible participants in approved school-partnered work experience programs are invited to apply for a casual part-time Host, Greenhouse role with Kohler Hospitality. In this role, participants will support the Greenhouse café team by performing guest-focused host responsibilities, while gaining practical workplace experience in a structured, supervised environment. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the approved school-partnered program and be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Program Objectives
  • Develop job readiness and workplace skills
  • Foster independence and responsibility
  • Provide hands-on experience in a community business setting
  • Enhance social and communication skills
  • Support transition planning for post-graduation success

Job Responsibilities
Students will be trained and supported in a variety of tasks, which may include:
Customer Service Support
  • Greeting customers
  • Assisting with simple transactions (as appropriate)
  • Maintaining a welcoming environment

Food & Beverage Assistance
  • Preparing basic menu items (e.g., assembling pastries, pouring drinks)
  • Restocking supplies and ingredients
  • Maintaining cleanliness of prep areas

Cleaning & Organization
  • Wiping tables and counters
  • Washing dishes or loading dishwashers
  • Organizing inventory and storage areas

General Café Support
  • Assisting staff with daily operational tasks
