Eden Senior Care, founded in 2016, is a growing Healthcare Management company, focused on managing and operating Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin & Ohio. Position: Activity Aide (Full time)

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Some late activities once or twice a month
  • 40 working hours per week

Salary Rate: $17 - $20/hr (depending on experience)

We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.

Job functions will include:

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
  • Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
  • Help design programs to encourage socialization
  • Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
  • Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
  • Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Preferably has Activity Aide or relevant work experience
  • A passion for working with people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Problem-solving skills
  • The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations
