Position: Part-Time Activity Aide

  • 24-30 hours / week
  • 8 AM to 4:00 PM, occasional nights for events
  • Mainly weekdays with potentially weekends. Rotating Holidays
  • $16-$18/hour

Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Activity Aide/Assistant experience is a plus

The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.

Job functions will include:

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
  • Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
  • Help design programs to encourage socialization
  • Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
  • Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
  • Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
