Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description

The Aircraft Mechanic services, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. This role focuses on timely maintenance and servicing of aircraft and related equipment, performing daily maintenance and overhaul tasks in accordance with approved procedures. The position may also involve directing the work of apprentices and trades helpers and, when required, flying with aircraft as a flight engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all aircraft and associated equipment are maintained and serviced in a timely and efficient manner to support operational readiness.
  • Carry out daily aircraft maintenance and overhaul assignments, including scheduled and unscheduled work.
  • Check the condition of aircraft and engines, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and technical documentation to complete maintenance tasks accurately and safely.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and documentation as required by regulations and company procedures.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality standards while working in and around aircraft and ground support equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and operations staff to coordinate work and minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Direct and guide the work of Aircraft Apprentices and Trades Helpers as required, providing instruction and support.

Essential Skills
