Job description

Job Title: Jr. Contract Administrator
Location: Huntsville, AL

Canvas II, LLC is seeking a Junior level Contract Administrator to join our Contracts Team. This role will assist in the full lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts, ensuring compliance, supporting proposal development, and contributing to successful program execution. Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions across the federal market and is recognized for ethical standards, technical excellence, and missionfocused performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all phases of contract administration, including preparation, negotiation, execution, modifications, and closeout
  • Assist in the development of compliance matrices and conduct contract kickoff meetings
  • Ensure continuous compliance throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Research and resolve contract issues; monitor performance against requirements
  • Collaborate with corporate support teams, program staff, and Government contracting officers
  • Support proposal development activities
  • Maintain organized electronic contract files and records within Costpoint
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Government contracting personnel
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Support team meetings to establish program and contract requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-3 years of U.S. Government contract administration experience desired. If candidate does not have 2-3 years of direct contract administration experience, 3 years of general business experience is required.
  • Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
  • Experience negotiating and executing NDAs and Teaming Agreements
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and AFARS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent timemanagement and multitasking abilities
  • Customerfocused mindset

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint (Projects and Contracts modules)
  • AMCOM EXPRESS BPA experience
  • GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) administration
  • ISO Quality Management System experience
