Job Description - PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR II (T238344)

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR II - ( T238344 )

Description

With minimal supervision, provides high-level administrative duties that are often of a confidential and complex nature. Maintains a current knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and regulations and provides information and assistance as needed to facilitate the office's daily operations. This position supports the UAB School of Nursing Associate Dean of Technology and Innovation, the Director of Instructional Technology, the Director of Educational Innovation, the Director of Simulation, and their departments providing administrative support and guidance. The direct report for this individual is to the Business Officer II with input for evaluation purposes from the other individuals in the positions this individual supports. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 1. Provides full administrative support to the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI), including answering phone lines and directing visitors.
  • 2. Provides administrative support to the SON American Heart Association Training Center (AHATC), including managing and moving AHA equipment for checkout (adult and infant manikins, carts), maintaining relationships with instructors and providers, processing course registrations, invoices, refunds, tracking instructor certifications and renewals, issuing and managing eCard inventory, record-keeping, and safeguarding exams.
  • 3. Facilitates meeting arrangements, prepares agendas, and takes minutes based on OTI needs.
  • 4. Orders office supplies as needed
  • 5. Maintains filing systems and develops and edits various documents and monitors email correspondence.
  • 6. Responsible for lab and office supply P-Card purchases, reconciliations, and provides status reporting
  • 7. Completes travel documents and manages employee reimbursements.
  • 8. Assist with event planning including managing catering, preparing materials, and coordinating day-of logistics.
  • 9. Supports the Alabama Board of Nursing CEU provider process. Submits CEU s to the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • 10. Performs other assigned duties.

(Hourly Rate: $18.35 - $29.80)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

To be successful in this position, an individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently. The individual will be highly organized with strong attention to detail in addition to excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
