Job Description
Scope:
Develop, maintain, and measure Expeditors' world-wide activity with top customers. Manage all aspects of our relationship to grow revenue and deliver exceptional customer service, including local and global alignment with execution teams and the customer.
Business Development :
Use your business acumen to maintain and expand client relationships using tools such as but not limited to our needs assessment guide, Customer Development Tool-Kit, product diversification tools, and Microsoft Dynamics. A successful account manager is curious and has a process driving mindset to help identify and improve customer's supply chains by bringing value and adding revenue streams.
Customer Management:
Continuously builds and maintains strong relationships throughout a customer's business hierarchy in order to understand organizational dynamics, decision-making, and strategic executive alignment leading to trusted advisor status. Maintains effective oversight for customers' operational needs and optimal execution for account growth through leadership, active communication, collaboration, and advocacy both internally and with customers.
Customer Ecosystem Expertise:
Develops and maintains knowledge and expertise for respective customer ecosystems including: market and industry intelligence; associated product, service, and vertical knowledge; customer information systems; and supply chain expertise.
Business Intelligence:
Develops and maintains data fluency combined with effective use of business intelligence tools for: information gathering, processing, and analysis; performance management and improvement; and reporting
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years Expeditors or industry experience - preferably customer facing
  • Able to drive and develop innovative ideas and solutions
  • Have a positive attitude & optimistic outlook
  • Overall understanding of Supply Chain organizational structures and cargo flows
  • Track record of navigating products, services and become and expert at navigating our network
  • Professional communication skills - internally & externally
