AMSC partners with leading automotive OEMs to develop innovative in-vehicle display and smart cockpit solutions that enhance the driving experience. Our U.S. team works closely with customers and global engineering teams to drive product development, program execution, and customer engagement across the full lifecycle—from concept and new product development through production and ongoing program management.


Position Overview
We are seeking an Account Program Manager to lead customer programs supporting multiple product lines with North American automotive OEMs. This role will oversee the day-to-day coordination of product development programs—from new product launches to ongoing production programs—while leading cross-functional teams to ensure successful program execution and alignment with customer and business objectives.


Responsibilities   

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned programs, managing communication, action items, and program status with North American OEM customers. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers) to support product development, launch, and ongoing production programs. 
  • Manage program execution from concept through launch and production, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, program milestones, and internal objectives. 
  • Review customer specifications and RFQs to coordinate technical proposals, design reviews, and internal approvals with global teams. 
  • Ensure accuracy and timely release of program deliverables and technical documentation, including BOMs, routings, and related engineering documentation. 
  • Drive resolution of product development and launch issues through structured problem-solving, including containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. 
  • Monitor program scope, schedule, and deliverables to ensure successful execution within established engineering processes and program timelines. 
  • Support compliance with applicable automotive standards and regulatory requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 26262, and relevant U.S. regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited program, Engineering background preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, product development, or technical program management, preferably in the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with the automotive product development lifecycle, including key processes, milestones, and deliverables
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience using structured root cause methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Why)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred

  • Experience with automotive infotainment systems, ADAS technologies, or display assembly development
  • Knowledge of automotive quality and safety standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 26262
  • Experience in metric-driven, lean, or continuous improvement environments
