Job Summary and Responsibilities

Department Chair of Dermatology - Creighton University CHI Health

CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine are recruiting a Founding Department Chair of Dermatology to be part of our vibrant program and expand our clinical enterprise, research, and educational activities in conjunction with building a residency program.

The selected Founding Department Chair will join a growing group of academic dermatologists encompassing a wide breadth of dermatology cases in the setting of a large established referral base within a wide reaching integrated health care system. This opportunity is ripe for an innovative leader to grow a Department of Dermatology in all of its domains in partnership with outstanding colleagues along with forward-thinking dynamic academic and business leadership.

This remarkable leadership opportunity builds on existing strengths including a cohesive Omaha metro-wide health care system with a large referral base of primary care providers, MOHS Surgery program & expertise in cosmetic services. Additionally, it encompasses a system-wide growth opportunity, led by the incumbent leader.

Resident and fellowship activity is primarily located at our academic health hospital, Creighton University Medical Center(CUMC), where our Level I Trauma Center is located. The Department Chair will report to CHI Health (CommonSpirit) System Senior Vice President and the Dean of Creighton University School of Medicine. Candidates are expected to have clinical and leadership experience and ideally academic activities commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine.
