Position Overview

Prestige Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join our professional tree care team.

This is not an entry-level climbing position. We are looking for someone who already has experience climbing and performing tree work safely and efficiently in both removal and pruning operations.

Our climbers perform technical work daily in residential, commercial, and government environments where precision, safety, and professionalism are critical.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely climb trees using modern climbing systems
  • Perform tree removals, pruning, and structural trimming
  • Execute rigging operations to safely lower limbs and wood
  • Work with ground crews to safely manage debris and drop zones
  • Avoid damage to surrounding property such as homes, fences, vehicles, sheds, and landscaping
  • Maintain professional tree care standards and safety practices
  • Operate chainsaws safely while aloft
  • Assist with planning rigging strategies and removal techniques

Required Experience

Candidates must have prior professional tree climbing experience.

You should be comfortable with:

  • Single Rope Technique (SRT)
  • Double Rope Technique (DRT / MRS)
  • Rigging systems and rope management
  • Precision limb removal near structures and obstacles
  • Chainsaw operation while climbing

This position requires someone who can independently climb and complete tree work safely and efficiently.


Preferred Skills

  • Bucket truck experience
  • Spider lift experience
  • Advanced rigging knowledge
  • ISA Arborist Certification (or working toward it)
  • Experience with crane removals
  • Leadership ability to guide ground crew during removals

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb trees daily
  • Ability to work at heights safely
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and wood
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
