JOB TITLE: Tree Climber Team Member
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The Tree Climber Team Member is responsible for working in trees to perform general tree care including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and tree removals.
CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Perform the physical labor required to complete the maintenance outlined in the contract
2. Ensure that all work performed on a job site meets all safety standards
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. General knowledge of landscape maintenance and the landscape industry
2. Knowledge with handheld power tools equipment
3. Knowledge of tree care principals, cabling, pruning techniques, tree ID and disease ID
4. Trained to learn how to run ropes on rigging work with climbers
5. Effective listening skills to understand the expectations of tasks to be performed
6. Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenges
7. Work in an organized, proactive and productive manner
8. Ability to communicate effectively with various team members
