Job Summary

LifeSkills Unlimited supports individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and related disorders in their homes or apartments to maintain activities of daily living. To ensure optimal health and safety, teach individuals to be as independent as possible, and to maintain their homes to ensure a clean, and safe environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Teach and assist in daily living skills, which may include personal hygiene, bathroom duties, shaving, brushing teeth, bathing/showering, shampooing, and dressing appropriately for the weather and activities.
  • Support individual’s ISP plan and daily activities, household chores, money management, and out in community activities.
  • Monitor for changes in their health, appearance, and behavior
  • Follow physician’s orders regarding, medication and dietary needs.
  • Complete documentation as necessary, to meet LifeSkills, Federal, and State regulatory requirements.
  • Complete required, and ongoing training requirements with LifeSkills and State required timeframes.
  • Behavior should be professional at all times. Treating everyone with respect and dignity
  • Report to work on time, ready to work assigned shift
  • Active listening Skills
  • Ability to communicate with others
  • Complete all shift duties and any tasks assigned by management to fill the needs of the Individuals that we serve.
