A Brief Overview:
Assesses, plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates simulation for general and specialty programs increasing skill/knowledge and bridging the gap between classroom learning to real life experience from novice to expert.

What you will do

• Designs, coordinates, and implements experiential/simulation learning activities for inter-professional teams.
• Orientation to simulation equipment, facilities including maintaining and updates.
• Incorporates use of audio/video in conjunction with guided reflection and educational videos.
• Plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates general as well as specialty programs in collaboration with Learning Consultants and Learning Specialists to maintain or increase skill/knowledge of team members and or other disciplines.
• Ensures adult learning principles are integrated into programs developed internally or presented by external sources.
• Ensures that educational programs meet regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Participates in specialty-specific, site-specific or corporate committees and or educational initiatives that influence organizational outcomes.
• Maintains records for the Joint Commission where required.
• Interacts effectively with a variety of professionals, within the organization, including Allied Health, as well as community, physicians, and leadership.
• Consultant for experiential/simulation curricula development for inter-professional teams.
• Facilitates educational venues for team members in the use of simulation equipment/task trainers from low to high fidelity simulations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the research process; interprets and uses evidence-based practice guidelines in addressing learning needs.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives to ensure team members are improving practice to meet quality and safety standards.
• Participates in interview and evaluation of hiring potential team members.
• Provides formal education presentations.
• Assist with orientation process of new Learning Consultants.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other Federal state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to relate well with others and adapt style as needed.
• Maintain a cooperative working environment in the department and addresses team member issues of skill, knowledge and behaviors.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively, manage own time and take initiative to drive projects.
• Ensure that all standards of the State of Florida Federal Agencies, Orlando Health Administration or any other regulatory agency are met or exceeded.
• Demonstrates professional accountability by involvement in professional organizations.
• Practices our Orlando Health Key Behaviors with all Orlando Health team members and customers.
• Embraces, communicates and promotes change. Demonstrates knowledge of the research process; interprets and uses evidence-based practice guidelines in addressing learning needs.
• Participate in quality improvement activities as assigned.
• Demonstrates knowledge of compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or health related field required, or will graduate with bachelor’s degree within 1 year of hire into position.
• Five (5) years of clinical experience required.
• One year of experience in an education role preferred.
• Must have all of the following: * Current professional license as a Registered Nurse or healthcare related field as relevant in the State of Florida. * Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider in area of specialty. * National specialty certification in Simulation required 3 years from hire. * National specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development, Certified Nurse Educator or area of interdisciplinary clinical practice required within one year of hire except in cases where there is no certification available.

Qualifications
