Account Manager – Hospitality Technology

Position Summary

The Account Manager serves as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of restaurant customers.

This role is responsible for building long-term customer relationships, understanding each customer's business objectives, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring customers receive exceptional value from their investment in FoodTec.

The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with customers, is naturally curious about restaurant operations and technology, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer account-related matters.
  • Develop an understanding of each customer's business, operational goals, and technology needs.
  • Coordinate with Technical Support, Professional Services, Product Management, Sales, and Development to ensure customer issues and requests are addressed efficiently.
  • Proactively communicate project updates, customer requests, and account activity.
  • Help customers maximize the value of FoodTec's software and technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional products, services, or operational improvements that benefit the customer.
  • Assist in preparing account reviews, customer communications, and business reports.
  • Monitor customer health and identify potential risks or opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and account activity within company systems.
  • Escalate customer concerns appropriately while maintaining ownership of communication throughout the resolution process.
  • Contribute to a positive customer experience through responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Customer Support, Hospitality Technology, Restaurant Operations, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple internal departments.
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Hospitality, restaurant, or POS technology experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
