We're a close-knit pharmacy team that valuesdoing good work, helping each other, and treating people with respect. We are aclosed-door long-term care pharmacy, so there's no walk-in retail traffic or traditional pharmacy counter. Instead, you'll work alongside a dedicated team behind the scenes, helping make sure our patients receive the medications they need, when they need them.

This is afast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment, so it's a great fit for an experienced technician who enjoys staying busy, knows how to prioritize, and takes pride in keeping work moving while maintaining accuracy.

Schedule
  • Start times vary between8:00 AM and 10:30 AM

  • End times range between5:00 PM and 7:30 PM

  • Typically workone weekend day per week

  • One full weekend off per month

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping ourhigh-volume pharmacy running smoothly. You'll enter and process prescriptions quickly and accurately while working closely with your teammates to meet daily deadlines and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enter new and refill prescriptions intoFrameworkand other pharmacy systems accurately and efficiently.

  • Triage incoming fax prescriptions to help ensure timely processing and dispensing.

  • Enter appropriate notes and cycle-fill coding into the pharmacy system.

  • Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.

  • Receive, evaluate, process, and follow up with doctors' offices on assigned refills.

  • Maintain accurate data entry records for cycle medications, fill requests, renewals, and new cycle orders.

  • Use pharmacy systems effectively, including document imaging and legacy pharmacy computer systems.

  • Understand and manageCycleprocesses to help meet delivery deadlines.

  • Consistently meet the pharmacy's establishedaccuracy and productivity standards.

  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve customer service issues using your pharmacy knowledge and experience.

  • Communicate with customers by telephone in a caring, understanding, and courteous manner, routing calls as appropriate.

  • Complete assigned prescriptions within your regular shift.

  • Work closely with teammates to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, especially during periods of high volume.

  • When needed, assist with filing completed orders, packaging medications, inventory, profiling orders for medical records, and filling processed prescriptions.

  • Perform other duties as needed to support the pharmacy team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced pharmacy technician who iscomfortable working in a high-volume environment, can maintain accuracy while working at a steady pace, and enjoys being part of a team.

Required:

  • 3+ years of related pharmacy experience, including experience working in ahigh-volume pharmacy environment.

  • At least6 months of pharmacy data entry experiencein a long-term care or managed care setting.

  • WA State Pharmacy Technician License - REQUIRED.

  • High School Diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.

  • Experience with pharmacy computer systems; familiarity withFrameworkpreferred.

  • Knowledge of brand-name and generic medications and SIG codes.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when processing a large volume of prescriptions.

  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal direction.

  • Willingness to speak up and ask questions when something doesn't look right.
