What are some common challenges faced by a Productions Manager, and how can they be addressed?

Productions Managers often encounter challenges such as balancing tight deadlines with limited resources, coordinating between multiple departments, and handling unexpected disruptions like equipment failures or supply chain delays. Effective communication, proactive planning, and strong problem-solving skills are essential for navigating these obstacles. Building strong relationships with team members and suppliers, as well as using project management tools, can help ensure smooth production workflows and minimize downtime.

What does a Productions Manager do?

A Productions Manager oversees the entire production process in manufacturing or media, ensuring that operations run efficiently, safely, and on schedule. They coordinate between different departments, manage staff, allocate resources, and solve problems that arise during production. Additionally, they are responsible for quality control, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Their role is critical to meeting production goals and maintaining product quality.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Productions Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Productions Manager, you need strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, typically supported by a degree in business, engineering, or a related field, and relevant industry experience. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Job description

Product Manager - Operations & Automation, Legal Vertical
We are looking for a Product Manager - Operations & Automation, Legal Vertical to join our Product team focusing on technology that helps lawyers and paralegals serve clients more quickly and efficiently.
In this role, you'll have the ability to use your creative energy and ingenuity to lead cross-functional teams through the process of identifying and automating key operational workflows - helping the people who serve injured clients spend less time on manual processes and more time on the work that matters most: getting clients access to the compensation that helps them put their lives back together.
As a Product Manager - Operations & Automation, Legal Vertical, you will lead the implementation and enhancement of new and existing automation capabilities using cutting-edge AI and agentic platforms. You lead discovery and requirements definition, and serve as the face of the business to our technical teams and external partners.
Our teams work hard, play hard, and enjoy each other's company during both. Come join us and help make the next evolution of legal operations become a reality!
At Internet Brands, you'll have the following primary responsibilities:
  • Innovate and ideate with a constant focus on identifying operational workflows that can be automated or streamlined, creating data-driven capabilities that drive sustained and competitive differentiation in how we serve clients.
  • Articulate the vision in a compelling business case
  • Translate business strategy into the product roadmap, making critical decisions about what capabilities to build and what order to build them in
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal technical teams and external partners to launch seamlessly, collecting feedback and integrating it back into the roadmap.
  • An excellent Product Manager at Internet Brands keeps in mind the long-term vision of the product while driving short-term results, has the market intuition to get there, and has the authority/integrity to lead the team along the way - very much a mini CEO when it's done right.

What you'll be responsible for:
  • Work with business stakeholders and operations teams to identify manual processes and inefficiencies that can be addressed through automation
  • Run POCs and Pilots to assess the feasibility of bringing an idea to reality
  • Work with UX/Engineering teams to design and build automation solutions and integrations
  • Bridge the gap between product management and engineering by defining and articulating the technical requirements
  • Coordinate rollouts across multiple teams and external partners, driving successful adoption of your solutions
  • Note that this is an individual contributor role

What you'll accomplish:
  • Provide leadership and ownership of automation solutions that streamline document-driven and communication-driven workflows, enabling lawyers and paralegals to serve clients faster
  • Drive the integration of automation capabilities from our core platform into case management systems used by the teams we support
  • Develop and deploy solutions that reduce manual effort across high-volume operational processes
  • Ensure proper data collection to demonstrate the efficiency gains and adoption of your products and drive new iterations

How your success will be measured:
  • Delivering on target while understanding business needs
  • Measuring operational efficiency gains - time saved, manual steps eliminated, and throughput improvements
  • Driving adoption of automation and AI-powered solutions across teams and partner organizations
  • Contributing at least one R&D project per quarter

You will be closely collaborating with the following teams:
  • Engineering
  • AI Specialists
  • Business Operations
  • BI/Analytics
  • Attorney & Paralegal Services
  • Operations and technology teams at partner organizations
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience as a product manager
  • Analytical approach to products and features with a strong focus on measurable operational improvements
  • Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear, actionable product requirements
  • Strong background with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, etc
  • Ability to simplify complexities for non-engineers (attorneys, paralegals, operations staff, external partners)
  • Demonstrated success managing products that involve coordination across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Decipher and eliminate ambiguities to drive clear, use case-backed, requirements
  • Willing and able to work hybrid at least 3 days a week in our El Segundo, CA office (Office address: 909 N Sepulveda Blvd, El Segundo CA 90245)
Preferred experience/knowledge:
  • Experience product managing workflow or process automation solutions
  • Experience with rolling out LLM-powered products and agentic workflows
  • Ability to contribute to strong prompt engineering approaches
  • Conceptual understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows between platforms
  • Experience working with case management systems or legal operations
  • Experience coordinating product rollouts across multiple external organizations or partners
  • Knowledge of web and/or mobile development processes

Why Join Us:
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact in the legal industry
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Professional growth and development opportunities
At Internet Brands, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the compensation for this role to start at $90k and depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
