Our integrated operations include hatching chicks, growing and maintaining flocks of pullets, layers, and breeders, manufacturing feed, and producing, processing, packaging, and distributing shell eggs. The Maintenance Production job is a position responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment and machinery.
  • Follow procedures for monitoring performance, safety and effectiveness of production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failure.
  • Operate a welder, cutting torch, side grinder, drill press and other equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; plus, one to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to follow directions and instruction.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Commitment to follow all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
