Job description

Night shift:  2-2-3 rotating schedule

Hours:  6:00pm - 6:30am

Aptar is seeking a Production Supervisor based in Mukwonago, WI (onsite). 

This role is accountable for Molding Room results related to safety, production outcomes/efficiencies, processing, and adherence to relevant procedures, quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and personnel activities across day and night shifts.

As a Production Supervisor, You Will

  • Oversee adherence to the quality plan for all parts manufactured in the molding room.
  • Supervise shift supervisors and coordinates efforts focusing on:
  • Safety
  • Production deadlines
  • Productivity outcomes
  • Prioritization of all shift activities
  • Continuous Improvement programs, such as:
  • Operations/Shift reporting of key KPI's
  • Maintain the required staffing levels and the necessary training for each in accordance with all personnel policies.
  • Lead shift meetings in a motivating and goal orientated fashion.
  • Responsible for all aspects of safety, including monitory work procedures, correcting unsafe areas or acts and conducting accident investigation activities in the event of an accident or near miss.
  • Responsible for maintaining housekeeping, including 5S, ISO, SQF, IMS and other requirements.
  • Provides direction to the workforce in executing the schedule as worked out with Production Control.
  • Provide appropriate leadership and successful individualized communication.
  • Provide effective and timely resolution to personnel issues.
  • Monitor the Preventive Maintenance schedules for all equipment in the molding room.
  • Works with the Tool room in establishing priorities for mold repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to expedite the correction of any irregularities to the achievement of Company goals.
  • Prompt, reliable attendance is required.
  • Act as back-up to other Superintendents/Supervisors as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Who We Are Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or working toward the degree

Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Previous injection molding experience preferred.

 

Preferred Skills

  • SAP Knowledge. Excel knowledge.
  • Lean manufacturing concepts and tools
  • Prompt, reliable attendance is required 

Non-Mandatory Job Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Correcting and fixing paperwork issues.
  • Working with outside vendors.
  • Occasionally working on production floor with employees.
  • Experience in Quality, Maintenance or other related field.
