Mold Repair Technician - Injection Molding Manufacturing - Base Salary to 38.00/hour - Milwaukee, WI

  • Our client, a leading injection molding manufacturer with a full toolroom onsite, is seeking a Mold Repair Technician to perform mold repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for plastic injection molds used in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of plastic injection molds and hot runner systems
  • Diagnose mold-related issues and perform corrective repairs to minimize production downtime
  • Operate toolroom equipment including CNC mills, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and related machining equipment to complete mold repairs and modifications
  • Use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify mold repairs and ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Perform mold disassembly, cleaning, assembly, polishing, fitting, and component replacement
  • Support continuous improvement of mold performance and reliability through repair and maintenance activities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molds
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing plastic injection molds in an injection molding manufacturing environment
  • Experience as a Mold Maker, Tool Maker, Mold Repair Technician, Tool & Die Maker, or Mold Maintenance Technician performing mold maintenance and repair
  • Ability to operate toolroom equipment including CNC mills, manual mills, surface grinders, lathes, and related machining equipment
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
  • Basic understanding of injection molding processes, molding equipment, mold components, and plastic materials

Compensation:

  • Base salary (paid hourly) in the 30.00 - 38.00/hour range
