Sewing Production Coordinator


The Sewing Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a continuous flow of work from the Cutting Department to the Sewing Department. This position organizes, stages, tracks, and delivers cut fabric, components, and production orders to sewing operators so production schedules are met efficiently and accurately.


The Sewing Production Coordinator helps maintain workflow between departments by monitoring production priorities, communicating material needs, and ensuring sewing teams have the correct materials available at the right time. This role supports quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals while following company safety and operational standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate the movement of cut fabric, components, and work orders from the Cutting Department to the Sewing Department.

  • Ensure sewing operators receive the correct materials and production orders according to production schedules and priorities.

  • Organize and stage materials to support efficient workflow and minimize downtime.

  • Verify materials are complete, accurate, and properly identified before delivery to production.

  • Monitor work-in-process inventory and communicate shortages, discrepancies, or production concerns to appropriate personnel.

  • Assist in maintaining production flow to support daily output and customer delivery requirements.

  • Track and move materials throughout the manufacturing facility as needed.

  • Safely transport materials, fabric bundles, components, and finished work between departments.

  • Maintain accurate identification and tracking of materials and production orders.

  • Follow inventory control and material handling procedures.

  • Maintain organized work areas and staging locations.

  • Work closely with Cutting, Sewing, Quality, and Production teams to meet operational goals.

  • Communicate production priorities and material needs effectively.

  • Assist with cross-training and support other departments as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which
demonstrates performance competency
Skills and Abilities

  • Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, and quantity verification.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately identify, sort, and track materials and production orders.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
