Proper Cloth

Job description

We're looking for a Product Styling Intern to support our e-commerce photo studio and Art Team during Fall 2026.

This is a hands-on, in-person role that blends day-to-day studio execution with real exposure to styling and creative direction. You'll help keep our studio running smoothly -  from preparing product for shoots to maintaining an organized, efficient workspace - while also contributing to styling decisions, trend research, and independent projects.

You'll be embedded within the Proper Cloth Art Team and gain a full picture of how a modern menswear brand executes high-volume, detail-oriented product photography, from wardrobe prep through final on-set styling. This role is ideal for someone who wants equal parts creative and behind-the-scenes experience - someone who's as energized by being well-organized as they are by a well-styled shot.

Requirements

What You'll Do

Styling Assistance

  • Organize and prepare wardrobe items for shoots, including steaming, tagging, and arranging
  • Assist in styling outfits for flat lay and on-model photoshoots, ensuring alignment with Proper Cloth's brand aesthetic

Shoot Support

  • Help with on-set setup, breakdown, and general studio flow
  • Ensure all styling elements are in place during shoots, making adjustments as needed

Wardrobe Management

  • Maintain an organized inventory of clothing and accessories, ensuring product is shoot-ready at all times
  • Assist with merchandising audits and inventory tracking for studio samples
  • Collaborate with the team to flag and relocate outdated photo samples for sample sale

Trend Research

  • Research current trends in fashion, e-commerce, and styling techniques
  • Present findings to the team for potential integration into upcoming projects

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual - able to keep up with a fast-paced studio environment
  • Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive tasks as well as creative problem-solving
  • Interest in fashion, styling, product photography, or creative direction
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Prior internship or experience in a fashion or studio environment is a plus

What You'll Gain

  • A strong foundation in styling principles, from wardrobe prep to on-set execution
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • A portfolio of work showcasing your styling contributions, including independent projects (such as a Trend/Competitive Analysis and an Editorial Shoot)
  • Direct mentorship from senior Art Team members, with weekly check-ins and an end-of-internship performance and growth conversation

Benefits

  • $24/hour
  • $20/day lunch credit

Note: This internship will run from the end of August through mid December.
