POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Buyer Planner - US Valve, is responsible for the end-to-end planning activities throughout the Fluidics segment. This individual will partner with the Supply Chain Manager in sales & operations planning - working closely with the commercial team to build forecasts, while also ensuring that the appropriate production plans and materials are in place to support customer demand. The Material and Production Planner will also be responsible for collaborating with the organization's commercial, sourcing and operations teams to ensure the proper capacity is in place to support long-term growth projections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build Standard Work for material planning activities for US Valve products.
  • Partner closely with the commercial team to understand future requirements while also considering consumption history; develop monthly revenue projections considering both demand and supply constraints.
  • Build both short and long-term supply plans that consider demand vs. available capacity. Work with production team as needed to address capacity gaps and identify needs to ramp up/reduce output to better align to customer needs.
  • Own the MRP process for assigned portfolio - including issuing/monitoring open purchase orders and taking action to expedite/de-expedite parts as needed to support customer demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Interface with Customer Experience and Inside Sales functions to address supply chain topics - including stock availability, demand outlook and potential supply risks.
  • Utilizes the 80/20 and ABCXYZ concepts in conjunction with Plan For Every Part (PFEP) to determine appropriate safety stock levels through detailed analytics and execute plans to achieve key metrics accordingly.
  • Reviews freight reports, identifies root cause for expedited costs and charges back suppliers when appropriate.
  • Communicates with vendors on performance and escalates significant supply chain risks or opportunities.
  • Coordinates with Engineering and sourcing on new product development and Engineering Change Requests to ensure proper material setup in the system
  • Review and analyze cycle counts, to assist warehouse in root cause countermeasures to improve inventory accuracy
  • Owns the material plan - (MTO, MTS, Kanban) and analysis to ensure product is available to deliver 95%+ OTD to customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to interface effectively with suppliers and internal cross-functional counterparts.
  • Knowledgeable in lean concepts including standard work development.
  • Disciplined approach to creating and adhering to Material and Production Planning standard work.
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, build formulas and pivot tables, to assist in developing data-driven insights to support decision making
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP Systems (J.D. Edwards preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • +5 years of relevant experience in Materials / Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Finance required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year university (preferably with a focus in Supply Chain Management, finance or engineering) or equivalent experience
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification is preferred

The compensation range for this position is $97,000.00 - $145,400.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
