We are hiring for an Irrigation Production Manager to join our DC/Maryland Maintenance team. The position will report out of our Forestville, MD branch.ย ย 
ย 
Position Description:
The Irrigation Production Manager (IPM) will work with and direct multiple irrigation teams who each are responsible for irrigation services on commercial landscape portfolios. The Irrigation Production Manager will be responsible for training and developing these individuals and providing day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance. This position will report to the Irrigation Manager.ย 
ย 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all irrigation services, as necessary, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required to produce quality work
  • Create and communicate the daily irrigation schedule for all service crews and management as needed.
  • Approve Employeesโ€™ time daily
  • Ensure quality work is being completed by crews in the field
  • Ordering materials
  • Call in all Miss Utility Tickets
  • Attend staff meetings as needed
  • Ensure crews are meeting efficiency and productivity goals
  • Assist in difficult repair troubleshooting
  • Ensure techs are submitting quality and detailed repair proposals daily
  • Ensure identifying problems, improvements, and upselling of irrigation systems is a priority through inspections
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing to ensure a full staff of quality employees
  • Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop a growth plan for employees
  • Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, repair techniques, safety, and quality standards
  • As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands
Qualifications:ย 
  • Demonstrated skill and ability in servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial irrigation systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of all associated tracking, toning, and tools involved in the irrigation industry.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability in the area of sales and customer service. Must have at least three years of experience dealing directly with service customers.
  • At least three years of experience managing irrigation crew on the production level, including demonstrated skill and ability in managing the production of service work. At least three years of experience running more than one project at a time.
  • Experience with, and knowledge of, computer operation specifically Excel and Word
  • Two or four-year horticultural or related degrees and two years of industry experience. Additional industry experience or industry certifications can substitute for a non-related degree, two-year degrees, or no degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean record over the last three years. Ability to pass a urine test for drivers.ย
