Job description

Copper River Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead and oversee the successful execution of a federal records and information management program in Rockville, Maryland. The Supervisor is responsible for directing daily operations supporting records processing, document management, scanning, data entry, and electronic records activities. This position ensures operational efficiency, quality performance, and compliance with federal records management requirements while serving as a key liaison between staff and program leadership.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Supervise daily workflow and personnel activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and operational metrics to maintain program performance objectives.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments and workload distribution to maximize efficiency and meet contractual requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Provide employee coaching, mentoring, and performance management to support professional development and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards, records management policies, and established procedures.
  • Review work products for accuracy and completeness and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify process improvements and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain records, reports, and documentation supporting program performance and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support training activities and ensure personnel understand applicable policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve operational issues and support program objectives.
  • Serve as the alternate to the Project Manager, assuming leadership responsibilities when required.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience
    • Experience supporting records and information management operations
    • Demonstrated experience managing personnel, workflows, and performance metrics
    • Experience working in a federal government or regulated operational environment preferred
