Job description

Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Production Manager! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Whatever your title, whatever your role - it always comes back to this: we're a farmer-owned co-op where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since.The Plant Production Manager will be responsible for leading productions teams in the plant environment. You will coordinate and provide leadership to processing, packaging, and FSQA teams to drive operational excellence. You will also adapt and establish production plans and procedures with production teams to guide plant operations. Additionally, you will provide expertise on production subjects and communicate production team requirements and developments.

A Day in the Life...

Provide leadership, facilitation, and coordination for the activities of the teams responsible for processing, packaging, quality, customer service and safety.
Analyzes and evaluates various operations indicators, such as efficiencies, processing yield, process control charts, budget and cost variances; adapting and establishing plans and procedures with the teams as necessary to affect favorable resolutions.
Monitors, maintains and maximizes effective employee relations and communications systems, ensuring understanding and compliance with plant safety and GMP requirements.
Acts as advisor in areas of expertise, providing analysis and recommendations as required or as appropriate.
Communicates to and coordinates with other functional areas to maximize attainment of common goals.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
1+ years of leadership experience
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient knowledge of Excel and other computer programs as required
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills required
Exposure to Total Quality Management concepts
Strong ability to influence and provide leadership

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience:

At least 5 Years of Experience
