We are currently seeking for an experience Steel Production Manager for our new steel plant in Kenosha, WI


Job Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

  • Ensure all production schedules are met.
  • Continuous monitoring and focus on production floor.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Read and analyze charts, product quality specifications, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Confer with other department managers to coordinate operations and activities between departments.
  • Participates and conducts production meetings.
  • Identifies and coordinates training programs.
  • Confer with management and HR department to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances.
  • Interpret quality specifications, company policies and work procedures for employees.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations, work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Ensure accuracy of production counts, reports and employee records.
  • Responsible for the effective control and management of scrap.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Maintain a safe clean working environment at all times.
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training.

Requirements for the Production Manager position:

  • 5+ years of experience directly managing production workers in Steel manufacturing environment
  • Steel manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills to include: MS, SAP and Excel (preferred).
  • Self-starter and can get things done.
