Position Summary

As a Production Manager, you'll be responsible for providing effective leadership and coordination for assigned production supervisors and operations. The Production Manager is responsible for upholding the plant policies and procedures, maintaining safety, quality, and production standards, and developing reports on safety, quality, and production information for areas of responsibility. Throughout your tenure with us, you'll obtain a high level of knowledge in how the business operates to ensure the smooth operation of the production facility.

  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the plant policies, local laws and OSHA Standards and demonstrate safe behaviors and ensure that all employees work in a safe manner through continuous observation and coaching on safety behaviors.
  • Ensure employees are trained and clear on safety expectations, including, but not limited to, completion of behavioral based safety observations, workplace exams, safety meetings, and other safety communication.
  • Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured, meeting prescribed standards (compliant), on time and meeting consumer expectations through coaching of employees.
  • Monitor product quality, issues, and changes, correcting any deficiencies. Monitor, control, and manage scrap produced to facilitate reductions and increase yields.
  • Provide guidance, training, and development to new and existing supervisory and hourly personnel. Evaluate and discuss with employees their overall performance on safety, quality, behaviors, etc.
  • Assist in the scheduling of the plant, communicating production needs to production supervisors, and monitoring overall production performance.
  • Achieve high levels of asset intensity by reducing unplanned stops, speed loss, waste generation, and optimizing planned downtime performance and conduct themselves with a "root cause" mindset in order to maintain continuous improvement results.
  • Understand the methodology of Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) principles. Train, coach, and assess direct reports in accordance with NCE guidelines and lead problem solving activities, and NCE initiatives. Achieve departmental results that support the Operational Master Plan.

Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $101,000 - $139,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
