Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production operations across multiple lines and areas, driving production planning, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement. This role serves as the central operational hub — bridging production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and HR — while owning the planning function to align output with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling
• Develop and manage production schedules using ERP/MRP systems based on customer orders and inventory targets.
• Own the planning function: forecast material and labor requirements, coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely supply.
• Adjust production plans dynamically in response to order changes, capacity constraints, or supply disruptions.
Operations Management
• Oversee production performance across all lines, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery are consistently met.
• Manage and develop the Production Supervisor team, providing clear direction, feedback, and performance support.
• Monitor KPIs (output, OEE, scrap rate, downtime) and generate operational reports to support data-driven decisions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Serve as the primary interface between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR to resolve operational issues and align priorities.
• Collaborate with Quality team to ensure production processes meet internal and customer standards; lead root cause analysis when issues arise.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling to minimize production downtime.
• Partner with HR on workforce planning, temporary labor coordination, and adherence to staffing agency protocols.
Continuous Improvement
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives including waste reduction, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Drive process standardization across production lines to improve consistency and reduce variation.
• Support ERP system implementation and process alignment across functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production or operations management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems; SAP familiarity is a plus but not required.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process standardization.
• Strong cross-functional coordination skills; ability to work effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; experience managing supervisors and teams.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese — Required.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $66,000 – $89,000
• Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
• 401(k) Plan
• Paid Time Off (PTO)
