Job description

Ultimate Image Printing is a fast-paced, rapidly growing company specializing in digital, offset, and large-format printing. We're passionate about quality and innovation, and we are looking for a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Production Manager.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee daily operations in our printing and signage production department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing workflow, managing staff, purchasing requisitions, ensuring quality standards, and delivering projects on time in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production operations from job intake to final output.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate order status with project coordinators.
  • Supervise and support print operators, fabricators, installers, and finishing staff.
  • Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
  • Coordinate with sales and design teams to clarify job requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order production materials as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment (main equipment is Vutek Printers, Zund Cutters, various other printers and finishing equipment).
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Manage a team of 40+ team members, schedules, and performance reviews.
  • Submit purchasing requisitions to purchasing team.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in printing, signage, or related production industry.
  • Previous management experience preferred for a team of 20+ team members.
  • Strong knowledge of large-format printing, vinyl application, fabrication, and finishing processes.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and team management skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with production workflow systems and software tools.
  • Knowledge of color management and print calibration.
  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting experience.
  • Background in process optimization or lean production.
