About 425 Apparel

425 Apparel is a growing custom apparel and merchandise company specializing in screen printing, embroidery, custom manufacturing, headwear, and branded merchandise.

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Screen Printer to join our production team. This is a hands-on, full-time position for someone who takes pride in their craft, works efficiently, and understands what it takes to consistently produce high-quality printed apparel in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Responsibilities

The Screen Printer will be responsible for producing high-quality screen-printed garments while helping maintain an efficient, organized production environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate screen-printing equipment
  • Print single-color and multi-color designs
  • Properly register screens and maintain accurate print placement
  • Mix and prepare inks as needed
  • Understand proper ink coverage, pressure, curing, and print quality
  • Load and unload garments efficiently
  • Inspect garments throughout production for print consistency and defects
  • Follow work orders, artwork specifications, garment counts, and production instructions
  • Maintain consistent quality from the first garment through the completion of the order
  • Assist with screen setup, breakdown, cleaning, and reclaiming as needed
  • Maintain printing equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
  • Accurately track production quantities, misprints, and completed orders
  • Meet daily production expectations and deadlines
  • Communicate immediately with management regarding production or quality issues
  • Assist other members of the production team when needed

Experience & Qualifications

Previous professional screen-printing experience is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Automatic and/or manual screen-printing presses
  • Multi-color registration
  • Plastisol and other common screen-printing inks
  • Flash curing and conveyor dryers
  • Proper curing temperatures and techniques
  • Different garment materials and how they affect printing
  • Production-based screen printing and larger-volume orders
  • Identifying and correcting common print-quality issues
