Job description

RPM Staffing is seeking a skilled and reliable Print Screen Operator in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating screen printing equipment to apply high-quality graphics, patterns, and finishes on acoustic panels, materials, and related products. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical proficiency, a keen eye for detail, and proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring our acoustic solutions meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain screen printing equipment to produce accurate and defect-free prints on various substrates used in acoustic products.
  • Prepare screens, inks, and materials according to job specifications, color matching requirements, and production schedules.
  • Inspect printed materials for quality, alignment, color accuracy, and defects; perform necessary adjustments or rework.
  • Follow detailed work orders, production tickets, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols and 5S standards.
  • Use computer systems for job tracking, inventory management, production reporting, and equipment controls.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous Print Operator Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a screen print operator or in a similar printing role (e.g., textile, industrial, or graphic screen printing) in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the acoustics, construction products, signage, or related industrial sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Computer Experience: Proficient in using computer systems for production software, job management tools, inventory systems, and basic troubleshooting. Experience with digital print controls, design software interfaces, or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Forklift Experience: Valid forklift certification and proven safe operation experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain color consistency and registration accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and color specifications.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a production environment with exposure to inks and noise.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of screen printing techniques, mesh selection, ink types, and curing processes.
  • Familiarity with acoustic materials or specialty substrates.
