Position : Product Data Analyst


Location : Westlake, TX (Hybrid)


Pay Range: $40/hr - $44/hr on W2


Duration: 12+ months


The Role


This hybrid role blends business analysis, data analysis, systems analysis, and product management. The ideal candidate will work with clients to interpret complex data, modernize reporting systems, and drive process improvements across the organization. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a deep understanding of data platforms, reporting solutions, and data modeling strategies.



Key Responsibilities


Data Interpretation and Reporting



  • Partner with clients to interpret and analyze data to create insightful, actionable reports and dashboards.

  • Design, develop, and modernize reporting solutions using tools such as Excel, SQL, OBIEE, and Power BI.

  • Leverage advanced SQL skills to extract, transform, and present data from platforms including Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS.

  • Understand and document data lineage, tracing data flow from source systems through transformation layers to end-user consumption.

  • Perform advanced analysis including research, gap analysis, data mining, and data profiling to identify trends and improvement opportunities.


Process and Systems Analysis



  • Collaborate with client business and technical teams to analyze current systems, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

  • Use data-driven insights and design-oriented modeling approaches to support process optimization and technology enhancements.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, rules, workflows, and system processes from platforms such as Informatica, Python, and PL/SQL.

  • Apply knowledge of dimensional, relational, and unstructured data modeling strategies to support enterprise data architecture initiatives.


Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement



  • Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, and leadership teams to gather, define, and align reporting and system requirements.

  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly through written, verbal, and visual presentations.

  • Influence stakeholders and drive collaboration without formal authority by fostering knowledge sharing and alignment.


Continuous Improvement



  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in reporting, analytics, data management, and process optimization.

  • Proactively recommend improvements to reporting methodologies, technologies, and workflows to improve efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Navigate ambiguity by synthesizing information from multiple sources and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.


Expertise and Skills Required



  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, systems analysis, or product ownership.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, OBIEE, Power BI, and data modeling tools such as SAP PowerDesigner or Erwin.

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms including AWS and Snowflake.

  • Experience with data governance, data security best practices, and collaboration tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and influence business decision-making.
