Our client is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations by managing production documentation, customer communication, and shipping coordination. This role serves as a key connection between scheduling, production, and shipping teams to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery performance.
Position Summary
The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for preparing and organizing shop floor paperwork, maintaining accurate production records, supporting customer communication, and tracking backorders and urgent production needs. This role reports directly to the Scheduling and Logistics Manager.
Key
ResponsibilitiesProduction Documentation & Shop Floor Support
• Prepare and distribute shop floor production paperwork, including job packets and printing schedules
• Organize and sort cut lists to support accurate and efficient production execution
• Ensure all required documentation is distributed to the production floor on time
• Maintain organization and version control of all production-related documents
Customer Communication
• Generate and send delivery acknowledgments using Microsoft Word and Actifax
• Ensure acknowledgments align with current production and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications and confirmations
Order Tracking & Reporting
• Update and maintain backorder reports and hotlists to reflect current order status
• Generate and distribute shop floor copies of backorder reports to support prioritization
• Communicate urgent order requirements to production and logistics teams
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Accuracy of production and shipping documentation
• Timeliness of document preparation and distribution
• Support of on-time delivery performance (OTD/OTIF)
• Accuracy and visibility of backorder reporting
• Effective communication and coordination across departments
Qualifications
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with Actifax
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
