Job description

Under the direction of Department Supervisor, the Production Control will support planners and operations team from customer order placement to product shipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generate and process work orders per the production plan (includes printing work orders, coordinating to prepare and issue manufacturing kits and labels, issuing materials and completing work orders, under general supervision.

Track, count and expedite all work in process to ensure production and shipping schedules are met.

Interface with purchasing to ensure the schedule deliveries from vendors are sufficient to meet the production and shipping schedules.

Monitor movement of all raw materials from Purchase Order through inspection to ensure availability of materials to meet the production schedule.

Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing and Quality to expedite materials when needed. Assist in reviewing inventory transactions in SAP for accuracy.

Coordinate and monitor flow of hardware through the production floor.

Provide assistance troubleshooting and resolving data entry errors and discrepancies.

Assist in the generation of reports and complete special projects as assigned.  Provide performance reports as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous materials planning experience with multiple product lines, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.  A demonstrated ability to maintain inventory levels and production schedules and knowledge of production control and inventory control.  Ability to analyze and resolve planning problems independently.  Familiar with ERP/MRP systems.  Should possess good organizational skills and be detail oriented.

Familiar with product specifications incoming inspection procedures.  Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

An AA degree from accredited college with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in materials planning and/or experience in Production Control/Planning.
