About the Role

We manufacture precision steel profiles through roll forming, a continuous process that shapes steel coils into engineered profiles. Our Finalization Department completes production through secondary operations such as laser cutting, bending, and sawing to meet exact customer specifications.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Associate who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment where precision, technical skill, and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly on the production floor with roll-forming and finalization teams to support smooth machine operation and material flow
  • Assist with coil and material changeovers, packaging, moving finished products, and reworking or repacking parts to ensure order accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges) to verify part quality and maintain accurate counts
  • Support basic setup, troubleshooting, and cross-functional production needs as required
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and maintain strong product quality—stop production if issues are identified
  • Maintain flexibility to support other production areas as needed
  • Perform additional duties that contribute to team and departmental success

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, blueprints, and control plans
  • Experience or familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

  • Work environment includes exposure to loud noise (hearing protection provided and required), fumes, coolant, airborne particles, and moving machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts, including frequent bending, stooping, balancing, and stepping on/off platforms
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual banding tasks (push, pull, crank resistance lever every 6–10 minutes)
  • Sufficient reach and arm span to band bundles of varying sizes
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for tool use and detail-oriented tasks
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and use measuring instruments accurately
