Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced food production environment. This position is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement while ensuring production schedules are achieved.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving problems in real time, and creating a culture of accountability and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules are met while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Promote and enforce food safety, employee safety, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and company quality standards.
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, waste reduction, and labor efficiency.
  • Supervise employee performance through coaching, recognition, performance management, and progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development.
  • Manage employee scheduling, attendance, overtime, and payroll approvals.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, corrective actions, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and labor records.
  • Ensure proper inventory control of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within the department.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to quickly resolve operational issues.
  • Foster a culture focused on continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience leading hourly production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while working under tight production deadlines.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
