Job description

Quality Control position requires a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with an engaging personality and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Due to the high level of accuracy required, manager should be well spoken and able to construct well-thought-out questions to produce the correct results in all situations.

Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the growing and processing of corn and soybean seeds. Position requires above average organizational skills, as manager will be required to maintain accurate testing records concerning germs, traits and other characteristics of multiple varieties of both crops. In addition to testing, manager will be required to read and analyze quality results and report those results to customers according to their requirements and specifications.

Manager will be required to learn and maintain proficiency with SAP system. In addition, position will be responsible for heading up deployment of a warehouse management system to monitor storage and distribution of products for multiple customers.

Manager will conduct hand sizing and summer probing responsibilities and will follow through with resubmitting samples to proper labs.

Position requires flexible schedule and will require 60 or more hours during peak processing season. This position, duties and responsibilities will evolve over time. Salary to be based on prior experience and education.
