Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician – Product Analysis to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, testing, and analyzing products to identify root causes of failure and support continuous improvement efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and test products to identify root cause of failures
  • Analyze warranty returns and defective units
  • Track and document test data with a high level of accuracy
  • Initiate product rejection processes when specifications are not met
  • Report findings to Engineering and Quality teams
  • Perform testing as requested by Engineering
  • Maintain product quality standards and ensure proper identification of units
  • Assist with preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Support team projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using hand tools and shop equipment
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, systems, communication)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
  • Background in manufacturing or remanufacturing
  • Experience with testing equipment and machinery maintenance
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, or ISO 9001 standards
  • Experience with starters or alternators is a plus
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced production environment
  • Requires use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoes, ear protection)
