Job description

Location: This position may be performed remotely but requires flexibility and a willingness to travel as needed.

Position Summary

Praxis is seeking a strategic, highly collaborative Senior Product Manager to help shape and execute commercialization strategy for our growing portfolio of therapies focused on central nervous system disorders. This role sits at the intersection of science, customer insight, and business strategy, helping translate complex clinical innovation into meaningful impact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, and knows how to align teams around clear priorities and outcomes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning product strategy, launch readiness, market development, messaging, customer engagement, and competitive positioning. You will be expected to think beyond tactical execution - identifying opportunities, challenging assumptions, and helping shape commercial direction in a fast-moving biotech environment.

The right person combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. You are intellectually curious, action-oriented, and trusted by cross-functional partners because you bring clarity, accountability, and sound judgment. Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to help deliver transformative therapies to patients with significant unmet needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of integrated product and commercialization strategies aligned to corporate and portfolio objectives
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Clinical, and Corporate Communications teams to support launch readiness and ongoing product strategy
  • Translate scientific and clinical data into differentiated product positioning, messaging, and customer engagement strategies
  • Partner with market research and analytics teams to generate actionable insights from customer feedback, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and performance metrics
  • Lead development of disease education, promotional, and non-promotional initiatives in partnership with agency and internal stakeholders
  • Identify strategic risks, gaps, and opportunities proactively, helping teams make informed business tradeoff decisions
  • Manage complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders while ensuring speed, quality, accountability, and compliance
  • Contribute to long-range planning, portfolio strategy discussions, and commercialization readiness activities
  • Serve as a collaborative leader and trusted thought partner who elevates cross-functional execution and organizational effectiveness

 Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading product strategy, commercialization, brand management, or launch initiatives within biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environments
  • Strong ability to synthesize scientific, customer, and market insights into clear strategic direction and actionable plans
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment in complex, matrixed environments
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong project leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving organizations with high accountability and autonomy
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive results through influence
  • High ownership mindset with strong business judgment and bias toward action
  • Experience in CNS, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or launch environments is a plus

The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

Compensation & Benefits

At Praxis, we believe that taking care of our people (and their people) is important, so we provide a world class benefits package to help you thrive. This includes 99% of the premium paid for medical, dental and vision plans. We also provide company-paid life insurance, AD&D, disability benefits, and voluntary plans to personalize your coverage. Thinking about the future? We match dollar-for-dollar up to 6% on eligible 401(k) contributions and sweeten the deal with long-term stock incentives and ESPP. We provide a discretionary quarterly bonus, an extremely flexible wellness benefit, generous PTO, paid holidays and company-wide shutdowns. Not to mention, you'll also be joining a phenomenal crew of colleagues who are smart, engaged and inspiring. We aim high, collaborate hard, and produce results. Let's achieve the impossible together!
